Guided
Tour
LLOYD'S of LONDON |
| City of London |
| Friday 24th July 2009 |
|
This is an
opportunity to visit the iconic and award winning building, home of the world's leading insurance market.
Our experienced guide worked at Lloyd's for many years and the visit will comprise an introductory talk on the history, development and present-day activities
of Lloyd's (with plenty of opportunity for questions) followed by a tour of the
building with wonderful views across London and including the underwriting room to see business in progress. The tour
takes approximately 1¼ hours.
(Tours of the Lloyd's building are restricted to small groups and
individuals involved with the international insurance and finance
industries. Currently there are no visit facilities available to the
general public.)

|
A 3 course 'pub' lunch has been arranged at City Flogger,
which is in nearby Fenn Court (off 120 Fenchurch Street EC3M 5BA) to include wine and coffee.
Because of the restricted numbers for the tour we offer two times to visit Lloyd's, with lunch at 12.30 - 2.0Opm.
If your attendance is restricted to morning or afternoon you may book for the morning tour which starts at 11.00am
followed by lunch OR for the afternoon tour which begins at 2.0Opm and enjoy lunch before the tour OR if you are happy
to attend either tour then please indicate on the booking form attached.
This enables members to meet for lunch whichever time tour you choose. In the event of the numbers being small enough to allow for only one tour we would like the flexibility to
arrange either a morning OR afternoon tour. |
|
Lloyd's operates a very strict dress code in the underwriting room which applies to
visitors as well as to those working there; suit and tie or smart jacket, smart
trousers and tie for men and smart business style for women. Jeans of any
description, other casual trousers and trainers are not allowed.
