The Worshipful Company of Musicians

Without a Livery Hall of its own, the Musicians' Company has taken offices on the Barbican Estate. Located at 1 Speed Highwalk (within the Ward of Cripplegate), the premises were vacated by the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2013 following their expansion into Milton Court. The Worshipful Company of Musicians is now in the ideal position alongside the Arts Centre and the GSMD.

The Company has also established a separate website dedicated to its store of Archive material.

This includes original manuscript scores from composers such as Elgar, Howells and Sullivan, together with the handwritten minutes of Court Meetings going back to 1772.

The Musicians' Company is the only City of London Livery Company devoted to the performing arts. Liverymen are performers, composers, instrument makers, teachers, administrators and music lovers.

The Company, focuses on helping young musicians at the start of their careers, through the provision of prizes, scholarships and performance opportunities.
