Annual Banquet at Saddlers' Hall

The Club's 2016 Annual Black-Tie Dinner took place on a warm Autumn evening in the stunningly elegant Saddlers' Hall, near St Paul's Cathedral. A record-breaking attendance of 128 members and guests enjoyed a night of excellent food and wine and the company of friends old and new.

After dinner, a musical performance was presented by students from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama: Miss Eliz abeth Desbruslais (Mezzo), Mr Piran Legg (Baritone) and Mr Jack Ridley (Piano) entertained us with songs from around the World. Guest of honour and speaker was Mr Paul Campion, a Pastmaster of the Musicians' Company, who was most entertaining and informative.

Also present at the Banquet this year were Club President (Alderman Alderman David Graves), both Ward Deputies (John Barker, OBE and John Tomlinson), Cripplegate Common Councillor (Mr David Bradshaw, CC), Master of the Marketors' Company (Mr David Pearson), President of the Farringdon Ward Club (Mrs Valerie Hamilton), Prime Warden (elect) and Upper Warden (elect) of the Basketmakers' Company (Mr Peter Allen and Mr Stephen Gee) and the Chairman of the Royal Society of St George (Ms Joanna Cadman).

Supporting Information prior to the Event:

This will be the Annual Black Tie Banquet - held this year at the Saddlers' Hall in Gutter Lane, just off Cheapside

As usual there will be a fizz reception at around 6.30pm followed by a 3 course dinner with wines and port from 7.15pm.

The Master's guest of honour and speaker for the evening will be Mr Paul Campion; Pastmaster of the Musician's Company, regular speaker on Cunard ships, published author and Mastermind Contestant - an entertaining fellow! Consequently, t here will be lots of musical entertainment from students of the Guildhall School and finish time is expected to be about 10.30pm
